Sale of Ultrafast Fibre for

- Cameron Partners advised WEL Networks Limited on the sale of UFF Holdings Limited, the holding company for Hamilton-based fibre business Ultrafast Fibre Limited (UFF) to two funds managed by First Sentier Investors
- UFF builds, owns and operates an optical fibre network in the Waikato, Taranaki, Bay of Plenty and Manawatu-Whanganui regions of New Zealand’s North Island
- UFF was established in 2010 as one of four companies who successfully tendered to build the first phase of the New Zealand Government’s fibre-to-the-home broadband initiative (UFB)
- Having also participated in the second UFB phase, UFF’s network now comprises over 3,500km of fibre providing access to ultra-fast broadband for more than 237,000 premises
