Our Communities & Careers

Rob Cameron Memorial Scholarship

The Rob Cameron Memorial Scholarship was established to honour and celebrate one of our founding partners, Rob Cameron.  Rob made an immense contribution to New Zealand’s capital markets and the wider business community.  His passion for education, life-long learning, and mentoring the next generation lives on through this scholarship.

The scholarship supports students who are committed to completing an honours year (or some other form of postgraduate study) in finance, business, or commerce at Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington.

We provide financial support to cover tertiary fees and to stay connected, we offer regular mentoring. In support of the Scholarship, INFINZ provides student membership and complimentary attendance at local events and their annual conference (including all travel costs).

Our congratulations to Barker Carroll on becoming our 2024 scholarship recipient.

First Foundation Scholarship

Cameron Partners is a First Foundation scholarship partner. The First Foundation lives by the ethos that all young people should have the opportunity to achieve their dreams through study. They believe in the power of partnerships and know the amazing difference that a ‘hand up’ can make for young people. By bringing together New Zealand businesses, individuals and schools, they assist academically talented students to achieve their potential through tertiary education.

By partnering with this incredible organisation, Cameron Partners provides financial assistance towards a student’s tertiary fees and part-time work experience for the four-year duration of their scholarship.

We have been proudly supporting the tertiary education journey of Nikita Old since 2021 and Malia Moa since 2023.

Graduates & Internships

Growing and supporting our future leaders is important to us at Cameron Partners.  Both our Auckland and Wellington offices offer internships which give students experience in our dynamic and inclusive working environment.

We value teamwork and sharing knowledge – at all levels.  We welcome and encourage active participation from all our deal team members as we navigate complex issues and manage transactions with our clients.  We believe this exposure is vital.  We take pride in our people operating with the highest degree of honesty, integrity and insight.  These values are the foundation of our firm and our people.

Sustainability

We recognise that sustainable practices are vital for mitigating environmental impact and for fostering long-term success and resilience. Our belief in sustainability isn’t just a lofty ideal but a guiding principle and a key operational consideration.

Through the integration of sustainability initiatives, we are actively reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to New Zealand’s efforts to improve environmental and social outcomes.

For us, sustainability is not just a statement – it’s a series of concrete actions. Our Toitū carbon zero certification is just one example. It shows that we meticulously measure our carbon emissions according to externally set standards, pinpoint key contributors to our footprint, and implement targeted initiatives for emission reduction.  We also champion ethical and sustainable supply, support local businesses and communities, and regularly report our progress to ensure transparency and accountability in our sustainability efforts.
