Acquisition of Vector's
gas distribution business
- Cameron Partners and our alliance partner Rothschild & Co acted as joint financial advisors to First State Investments on the acquisition of Vector Limited’s gas transmission and non-Auckland gas distribution business
- First State Investments entered into an agreement to acquire the business in November 2015, for NZ $952.2m. The acquisition was completed in early 2016 and was the largest M&A transaction in New Zealand that year
- First State is one of the largest infrastructure investment managers globally and is wholly owned by Australia’s Commonwealth Bank Group
